Everyone experiences gas. Gas is a normal condition that often occurs during digestion.

What is Gas?

Gas and bloating is a common problem for many people with approximately 1 in 4 experiencing it at some time2. Of those, approximately 50% find gas and bloating troublesome2.

In most cases, gas and bloating is not a symptom of a larger problem although it can be embarrassing, painful or uncomfortable2.

What causes gas?

  • The common causes of gas and bloating include:
  • Certain foods, e.g. beans, corn, broccoli , cabbage
